Urban interventions and pictorial displacement in shared space

Intervention on a civic monument from The Plague
Saturation / The Plague / Displacement of Painting: Public Spaces; The Civic. Intervention on Bernardo O'Higgins monument, Santiago, Chile, 2010.

Public Spaces gathers works and actions where the displacement of painting enters the common environment: walls, urban furniture, transit surfaces, monuments, and places of encounter. The aim is not to decorate the city, but to produce friction.

Printed paper operates here as expanded painting: a massive, disposable, contemporary material that returns as skin, evidence, and visual pressure in the urban landscape.
